How to make the perfect cup of tea

Different teas call for slightly different preparation methods to draw out the best flavor from the leaves. Depending  on oxidized the tea leaves determines the how hot the water should be. For black teas it's better to have boiling water but white teas can't handle the hotter heat.

Tea should be steeped in the right water temperature for anywhere from 1 up to 5 minutes but mainly based on personal preference. The longer the the tea is steeped the bolder the flavor will be. 2-3 minutes is usually suggested for black teas. Leaving tea to steep for too long can lead to a bitter taste which again, can be preferred. Your tea can be steeped in any tea cup though the material of the cup and temperature of the room can effect the tea. For those who are serious about tea try investing in an unglazed teapot or any number of accessories from www.mingmingtea.com

Try different combinations of temperatures, tea, steep, and teapots and cups to find what you like the best. Tea is complex enough that some approach it more as a hobby or fun past time. Ming Ming offers local group tea tastings of their organic Chinese tea on a regular basis that can give you idea of the different variaties of teas that are out there for you to discover.
